Question Alternator help/question

So it looks like my alternator went out. I"ve done a lot of work on my car, but have never removed the alternator while the motor has been in the car. I've searched the How TO section and there are no threads covering this topic.

Anyone here have any advice? How the heck do I remove the thing? Do I have to go from underneath and remove the half shaft like I've heard or has anyone removed it from the top? Damn Mitsu for placing it in one hard to reach area.

Any suggestions before I tackle this fix would be greatly appreciated.

When you get it out, check out this place for a replacement:

Thanks guys. I was afraid that I had to remove the half shaft and lift the car to get this done. Bummer, what should be an easy job (on any regular car) is quite a chore on the EVO...
