Pioneer TS-SWX251, anyone hear it?

I searched on the forum for a long time, but couldn't find a post about something buying or even just hearing this sub.

I've been unable to find any reviews on it, I'm guessing it hasn't been out that long.

Anyone out there have any experience with it? I think I'm about to give it a try

Where were you thinking of installing it? The enclosure is a bit too large to fit under the front seats.

I was just going to put it in the trunk. Supposedly you can install it facing down, and "still pile groceries and luggage on top" according to crutchfield. I ordered it this morning, should have it wednesday. I'll take some pictures, and probably install it this weekend.

I had been looking at that and couldn't decide if would be enough. I bought a basslink and was unhappy, with it so I sent it back. I now bought 2 Infinity 8" subs in a small sealed box. I think they're gonna work much better. Let me know how that Pioneer works for you. It would probably save me close to 20 lbs.

Yeah, I'm also worried it might this might not be enough either, but I figured it was cheap enough to give it a try. It would be pretty nice if it ends up sounding good, I'd love to save all that trunk space.

It was real hard to turn down the buy one get one free offer kicker is having right now on subs. I think it's going on till 3/16 according to the sign at best buy, but crutchfield is doing it too.

If it doesn't, I went with these.

I'm still waiting on the box to get here. I installed 1 of the subs in small box I had here the other day, and it hit significantly harder than the basslink.

Guys, there are two options with our cars - work with the car or try to overpower it. Assuming your cars aren't stock, they produce enough low frequencies on their own to effectively cancel-out most any kind of reasonable bass solution. You can certainly overpower the Evo. That comes with its own set of drawbacks, not the least of which is impact on the structural integrity of the car, itself. There a lot more to this. Take a look at my last system thread and read the third post, if not the entire thing:
