I didnt think of that. Has any of the guys who have done this had any issues cos I really want to do this?
I live on the beach in australia so it can be quite hot....

Check the max operating temp of the device. It's most likely going to be a little over 100*f (Samsung Galaxy I looked at was like 113* or something). Looks cool though, good job.

eric at autowerks has done alot of ipads installs in dashes on autowerks website http://e-autowerks.com/content/ they have pictures of a gti that he put a ipad into. he also has one in his own bmw. i would check it out and give him a call of email.

Give BKevoX a PM, he built me one for my EVO X that is removable and connects to factory wiring; plus works with the stock rockford fosgate setup. Not sure if he can do it for the 8/9 but worth a shot to ask him; he does quality work with great sound.

He built me one for my iPad2 and built one for Jblade one for his Android tablet.

I´m looking for AC control relocation kit and double din kit, an extra help will be a good tablet to be used but not expensive (I need to repair my car; it was impacted -big- at the front).
