Hmm. So if I have a 4-channel amp that I'm hoping to wire the front speakers to and the 8" subwoofer I have, and then run the rears off of the headunit (well, not anymore I suppose; i could always just run left/right and not have fade front/rear) do you have a recommendation? or is this even possible?

Yeah, you would just lose fade. The stock amp is 4 channel too, but tablet out is stereo and the BT receiver is stereo, so you just lose the fade.

wouldn't i need a receiver that also has a sub out line to go to the amp if i wanted to bridge two channels (the two rear channels on the sub) to run a small subwoofer?

Hard to say what you would need, not knowing exactly your setup, etc. All I'm doing is using the stock Mitsu SSL amp and putting a BT receiver in front of it to basically add BT to the amp. That way anything can output audio (ie the tablet) to the stock amp/speakers.

If you have aftermarket audio equipment, you might not even want to go the BT solution. Maybe use a USB DAC instead and have better quality, etc. All depends on what your audio equipment has for inputs and how you have it setup, etc.

You really need a preamp to properly clean and amp the single from the iPad or Android device the preamp will have a control nob. For example I am using a JL Audio preamp made just for this purpose (tablets) and my volume nob is right next to cup holder in an easily accessible and discrete location.

Here are example products:

Check out my post I made over here where I installed an iPad mini in my car.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...iece-ipad.html

You could follow very similar procedures for an android tablet - if you have any questions feel free to PM me, I usually check the forums every couple days.
