Ebay/Depo LED tail light mini-review

Hey there guys, just wanted to share my experience with the newly listed Depo LED (JDM style) taillights. I got these in an hour ago and just plugged them in, I haven't seen a review yet for the LED edition so here it goes.

These tails came well packaged in a large cardboard box, which led to two smaller boxes. One with the left tail, one with the right tail. They had cardboard cut outs and were engulfed in packing peanuts.

The seams are sub-par and honestly, I'm expecting them to fog up a bit with the crappy molding used. I'm going to go grab some sealant and go over the edges to make sure this won't be an issue down the road.

Fitment is comparable to OEM, there are no gaps and they snap right into place. The wiring harness is of good quality and plugs right in, no modifications necessary.

The paint on the inside housing is a nice matte finish (the JDM 8 style), and the amber blinkers are full LED's. The actual LED's are red and feature a unique diamond, clear pattern throughout both bulbs. It's a bit rice, but I like how they're different then the standard OEM JDM lights.

The LED's are extremely bright, especially compared to stock. I'll get some better pictures tonight and from a farther distance where the camera doesn't get washed out by the light.

My garage is fairly well lit during the daytime due to the sun, and the taillights are VERY visible.

Overall I'm satisfied with my purchase and would recommend these to anyone looking for aftermarket tails to replace your Evo 8 tails, if they are not willing to fork over the cash for the OEM JDM tails.

at-least you aren't trying to pass them off as the real thing. A for doing something different.

JDM rear next?

Thank you, that's what I was going for.

These will never have the same exact quality fit and finish as the OEM part will, it's aftermarket and people need to realize that when purchasing these. They're cheaper for a reason; if looking to buy these get some sealant while you're at it.

Definitely going for the JDM rear soon to compliment my Greddy Ti catback that's en route.

They look pretty good I was debating getting these or the depo (black chrome evo ix) jdm style tail lights and got the latter. Fitment on mine was horrible and literally had to push on the lights to barely and I mean barely snap in place, I still think they didn't fit 100% as they should! I've had mine on for about 4 months and they've held up fine so far, and they do look good i guess for the money. Good luck with yours take some more pics specially at night!

Nope, no turbo blinker. Works just like factory, as do the LED main bulbs. No flickering or anything out of the ordinary.
