got my jdm evo 9 bumper on from AIT racing! how does it look? (all comments welcome)

Op, you used to be on the m35 forums correct? I recognize the name and the gg evo 9. I went from an evo to the m, looking to get back into an evo again! I had a chargespeed jdm rear on mine and fitment was great too

It's only missing the lower portion...other than that, fitment looks damn good to me!

it looks like it's being pulled back, like a parachute affect - looks like crap in my opinion of course...

yup! that was me! i miss my old M45 but it wasnt meant to be!

good to see you on here as well! i go back to the nico forums from time to time. lots of memories!

thanx for all the compliments guys!!! im trying to see what the difference is between the jdm one and the one from AIT and i guess my eyes are horrible cause i dont see a difference at all.

well also keep in mind im running a VERY aggressive offset to make it seem like the sides are being pulled in. i see your pont though.

OEM JDM has a functioning tow hook flap, no side markers, and is ABS plastic. and requires different mounting brackets, as well as a rear impact beam, and a license plate bracket

let's put it this way, if you had both cars photographed from the side (camera pointed at the rear wheels) I can guarantee you that you would see a noticeable difference. It's obvious the JDM rear fits closer to the car because of the crash beam modification/removal necessary to mount it.

I guess the reason I'm even mentioning this is because of the price. to the OP, what did it end up costing you from start to finish to have the rear bumper on the car ready for pictures? I know you can get them for $900 shipped from a website on here... why not just spend a little more for OEM quality
