Intermittent Ignition Failure

Just started this about a week ago, and its getting more frequent. I go to turn the key, and the engine does not crank. All dash lights come on, and they are not dim at all. But its is very random when it does turn over. I cycle the ignition sometime once sometimes 10 times before it starts up. Seems like possible ignition switch failure? Or key issue? Thanks if you have an idea of what this may be.

I have the same problem and it is NOT the starter... I turn the key and it clicks once. If I repeatedly turn the key the it just clicks until eventually it cranks right up. I've replaced teh starter twice, the battery, the ground wires from the battery, even added additional ground wires directly from the starter.
I'm waiting on a starter relay from the stealership. Other than that, I have NO idea what to check. This happens randomly as well.

it's very possible you have an intermittent problem with your CKP. remember that you need 3 things to start a car as far as mechanical: Fuel (pressure/volume), spark (correct timing), and RPM signal (CKP). there's also other issues that may occur that swapping parts does NOT cure (MAP/BARO sensor readings)

That click you hear is the starter, thats the solenoid clicking. You either have a battery thats not worth a C*ap, a bad starter or a chewed up ring gear... the later is doubtful but either the starter is good and the ring gear is bad causing the starter drive gear to bind up or the starter is bad.

I want to add something to this.. After replacing every part from the starter to the ignition and not getting a fix I started to look at the wiring system. What I'm finding is a power draw somewhere in the system. It's draining the battery just enough to not allow the starter to kick over. So I'm tackling the huge task of tracking down a parasitic draw.. fun..
