I have this same double din in my 01 Silverado. I love this radio, and was wanting to see how it looked in an Evo. Thanks man.

Did you order the Bezel from Japan, and the HVAC from the guy that hand makes them??

i used the how-to thats on this website

i did get the radio bezel from japanparts, and i did get the hvac bezel from the guy that hand makes them...good call. I thought the bezel was a little rough, so after considerable putty, sanding, and painting, i think it looks as good as a factory piece would. thanks everybody for looking, and thanks for the nice comments. Tim

Got the same one from the guy who makes them. I left it in the garage when it got cold and it cracked all over. Still won't take much for me to redo it.

What exactly happened? Was it lying in your garage when this happened, or was it inside the car already installed? Can you post a pic?

Never heard of this happening before. Another member pointed me to this thread, so I'm curious.

It was sitting on my shelf as I'm still waiting on my doubledin. I'll take a pic for you. It looks like filler cracked and wants to flake off.
