Weak Radio Signal after Amp Install

Has anyone had issues with a weak radio signal after installing an amp/sub? Before I installed my amp and subwoofer I had great radio signal and the radio was loud and clear. After the install (the previous owner already the car all wired up so it was a simple plug n play) I noticed I had to turn the volume way up to hear it well and the reception quickly fades/distorts as I travel away from the city.

I've done a little bit of research and it seems like some amps actually interfere with the radio signal when they're placed close to the antenna. My Alpine mrp-m500 is mounted on top of my sub in the trunk. Since the sub has been drilled into and the amp is screwed I'd prefer not to move my amp. Does anyone know any fixes to this other than moving my amp out of the trunk?

My Radio signal is also weak. I haven't found a fix for it yet. Soon I'll take it to my car audio fitter and ask them if they can fix it. I'll tell you how it goes. Good Luck!
