i dont beleive i have the "electrical gremlins" as stickied on this page being that it happened all at once and not gradually...

my evo is for sale so i had a group of people come down to look at the car took them for a ride they loved it and that was that. one kid then said "can i plug in to check the tune" i said not a problem as soon as he plugged in and tryed to connect the horn stayed on the wiper fluid pump kicked on and my parking lights came on he then removed the fuse to the horn to stop the noise but now the parking lights and pump stay on until i remove the battery. any thoughts on what this could be or wth this kid did?

things i tried:switching horn relay under the hood/didnt work
unplugging the battery waiting ten minutes and putting the fuse back in then connecting the battery again/didnt work
pulling the ecu and plugging it back in/didnt work

as i said i dont believe its the gremlins because it wasnt a gradual thing it literally happened when he tried connecting the ecu

please let me know asap

 

checked kick panel plugs and there was no corrosion at all...any ideas???

 

Yup I have heard of this as well. Issue is with the cable still having #9 pin in it and it frys the body module ECU. Will look for the thread on it for you and brb
