I see on OCS that most of the ones available are not good brandwise and fairly cheap. I don't really want to put a 2-DIN receiver in my vehicle but can't seem to find a quality flip out single.

I am going to piece my sound system together over the summer but I am mainly focused on quality so if you have any ideas please let me know..would prefer Alpine but near impossible to find one for some reason..

Just went through this exercise... Only big name ones are Clarion, Kenwood, Pioneer. The Kenwood model is like 4 years old now and you need to buy all the add-on modules (i.e. BT, Nav, etc.). Not too sure about the Clarion. Pioneer looks like the have at least 3 options. I myself just bought the new AVH-X7500BT (see my post here).

The double DIN is sitting in the back of my mind now since there are so many options, but I like the idea of having my screen flipping out so it doesn't have to take over my console area if I don't want it to.

Image doesn't work! The only reason I would want to get double is for the features but as you said takes up too much space for my liking. Ooooh that deck just caught my attention :P. Thank you aha.
