What a Double Din looks like in a 9 second EVO;0
Hi guys,
We started carrying the Orbital procuct line. They make some nice stuff for moving the a/c-heat controls and installing a nice radio/TV in your EVO.
I had a single DIN Clarion in dash flip out that Jarrod installed in my RS a year or so ago. It was O.K. but I never cared for the fact that is stuck out about an inch and half passed the dash.
When I saw how clean the Orbital install was I had to have it.
Jarrod, being the stereo expert here suggested I get the Eclipse double din with a 7" monitor and built in navigation. I'm not big sterro guy but this is killer. The difference in the sound quality isn't even comparable. Picture quality is also much better than the old deck.
What I like about it best is the fitment in the dash. These pictures don't do it justice. The flush mount is just awesome.
There was a little trimming required on the a/c-heat control panel as the re-circulation button kept getting stuck when I would push it in. Not a big deal and maybe it was just my unit. I just used a file and made a little room.
Thanks to Orbital for a great product.
Here is a picture of it in my RS. As you all know, any legit 9 second street car has to have a double din TV and stereo in it!!

I would also like to comment on the kit. These are a VERY nice addition to the interior. It cleans it up quite a bit I think. Quality is really nice as David mentioned. I would also like to thank Rich for approaching us in carrying his products.... very nice guy, very informative and we are glad to help them distribute their product.
I will be installing my Orbital kit in the spring when my car comes out of hibernation. I will be using the current 1-din flip out unit I have along with the 1 din pocket. My current deck doesnt stick out as far as David's Clarion did so it will still look clean also I love how clean the dash looks with the heater controls dropped down. I will do a write up on mine once its done.
On a side note..... Not only can David tune like a mad man but he can now install car stereo's. He only called me once for a quick question on how to bypass the e-brake switch. Nice job on the install David! Look for David on "Pimp My Ride" this spring.
So David.... tell us how you're gonna hook up the sound system in this '89 Festiva!

All that fancy smancy equipment on a 9 sec Evo and you don't even have your own Buschur Racing Evolution Pedal Set???
I would talk to the owner, he might be able to get you a small discount
