Clock Spring Diagnosis Questions
Clock Spring Diagnosis Questions
Hey guys. I'm new to the forum and just purchased an 2003 BBY Evo 8. The srs light is currently on and when the code is run shows driver side air bag. The shop that ran the code mentioned the clock spring being the issue but after some searching it sounds like typically all electronic functions of the wheel are lost when the clock spring goes out and my horn currently still works. Is it still possible the clock spring is the issue or should I start looking elsewhere?
Thank You
Jesse

I'm a Toyota tech and anytime we get a drivers airbag code and the airbag is still in the wheel, not just the cover, it's the spiral cable. And 99% of the time all other functions work, like horn and steering wheel control. It's the only moving part, so usually first to go out. I'd say it's a safe bet.
