Evo 7 outside air swith auto off

Hi mate
I need help..my aircond outside air switch always off and makes the outside air goes in ..it's make my inside car smell terrible. .the worst thing is during traffic jammed. .exhaust smell coming from the car infront me to go in. I always used auto mode for temperature and auto mode for air positioning.
And I think because of selected to auto makes my outside switch is on and off after certain level of temperature. Question is..can I removed the auto function for the outside switch ?..means if i select auto temperature and auto air positioning the outside switch will stand alone follow to my desire function . Can we make that ?..Please help.

Does the recirculation button light up in auto/auto mode?

You could try pressing it so that the air recirculation is "on" (lit up) after you select auto/auto mode and see if it switches it
