I will agree with you though that REV saying he would rather spend money on performance then looks was kinda a cheap shot.
Woa, woa, a lot of internet chatter going on here. Why the attack on my statement? Joe, who has actually bought parts from me, said all depo lights leak and have moisture issues. I replied that this is not the case, as mine have been fine for three years.

In addition, I have over 30 thousand invested in my ride, whereas I choose to invest that $ into my engine & drivetran verse 700 lights and plastics. No cheap shot IMHO, but when I cannot tell the difference between a cosmetic product, especially one that provides no aero or cd benefit, I don't see the big deal in saving some change. I drive a high power car, and that's my focus. No shame if you put your focus in high dollar ARC parts etc. for show, but don't act as if everyone has to buy into your ideal.

I had DEPOs on my Civic back in the day. They never gave me a single issue. I have real JDM Evo 7's but think these look to be a great alternative.

Also I don't know about any leaking issues with DEPO's but it's kind of funny that it's "a well known issue" but out of everyone, only one person has said it. The rest have said there's didn't leak. Kind of odd but I'm not arguing. I've only owned the one set and it was years ago.

This. I won't cheap out on a performance part but for tail lights that are 99% the same as "real" I'll pay 1/3 price for the crappy replica.

Im not emotionally involved at all, i simply stated that all the ones i have seen leak and people act like im lying or trying to bash the product. I even said theres ways to fix it

My car isnt a show car and is fully built by one of the top evo shops, but im just not into getting replica/knock off parts. Thats just me. Like i stated earlier i honestly dont care what people put on their cars. I was simply just trying to warn the OP with my experience with the product

I purchased JDM tail lights for my car because the quality is meant to last, nothing more.

I'm a firm believer in that old adage, "You get what you pay for." so shelling out more money means the future me will more than likely not have to deal with the tail lights and any possible issues.

^^^^ great point. I'm in sales and it never ceases to amaze me the people who buy the cheapest stuff they can get and then call a couple years later complaining about quality. Then the people who buy good stuff, you never hear from them again. It's one of my lines I use in a sales presentation "when you buy quality, you only cry once".

I work for a dealership, not Mitsubishi. I can say with first hand experience that oem head lights and tail lights leak as well, not just aftermarket ones. Then seeing the part prices for these head and tail lamp assemblies makes me sick.

If after market lamps are even close to being as good, and I can replace them 3 times for the same amount of cash as an oem unit then my choice is easy. Just food for thought.
