Hi, I only have one key it working perfectly, and I bought a new key case to replace my old key coz key cover cracked. So I put my old key chips to my new key case, but I forgot it and just start the engine with my old key but without chips. engine running for 3 secconds then stop, try start again , engine can not start anymore. feels like immobilizer cut out fuel pump.

try to code the key with my scan tool, it said need key registration code but I could not find it where it is.

then I google it, try to get wire to bridge obd plug terminal 1 and 4, press hazard light button 6 times, I can hear lock and unlock means get in code key mode, then I press lock button in the key 3 times and unlock , then took wiring off obd plug, still can not start the car.

does anyone have tips for that？

 

I don't have an answer for your specific question, but I would highly advise you to just disable it and install some other security. A good alarm plus a kill switch would be my advice. The factory immobilizer is basically worthless as a theft deterrent.

 

Evos need the chip in the key present to run

 

Flash your ECU with the immobilizer disable patch or if you are unable/unequipped to do so take it to a tuner and ask them to disable the immobilizer.
