Cold start issue, wont stay running after start

Hey guys, I'm having a cold start issue. The car will crank and start fine when cold, but then it will die after a few seconds if i dont continue to feed throttle for several seconds, then it will idle and run fine. I am running tephra v7 rom 88591715. I think I need to modify the post start enrichment/decay vs coolant temp tables, but I dont see these tables anywhere in my maps. Shaun (repaerx) mentioned I needed the xml file, but I am having trouble finding it. Any thoughts?

I was able to find them again. Here's the link to the thread.

Update: Car has been throwing a code off and on for a while now, always just figured it was gas cap or something. Turns out I am getting code p0171, bank 1 too lean. I am thinking it is being caused by an exhaust leak on the turbo to manifold or possibly the o2 housing. The wideband is pegged offscale lean at idle, but richens up to normal afrs when I blip the throttle, crusing afrs and wot afrs are all spot on. Should I consider replacing the front o2 sensor as well?

Check your fuel trims, if they get too far out then you will get this code, could also be your exhaust leak before the front o2 sensor causing trims to go off at idle like you said.

Matt and I have been working on this together and have pretty much concluded that it is an exhaust leak that is causing this. He's going to replace the mani to turbo gasket. When we were at the track I switched it to Idle in open loop and tossed a bunch of fuel at it to see if we could get the wb to read anything. During closed loop idle the STFT read between +15 to +18.

Matt, I wouldn't worry about changing your o2 sensor unless your hell bent on doing it.

Thanks Shaun. Yeah, I'll order that gasket today, hopefully get it fixed next weekend. I'll hold off on the o2 sensor for now.

You're on the right track, it'll be the post start enrich tables.

bump this thread from the tomb, I'm having the same issue with a guys car I'm tuning that doesn't live very close to me and I don't have a lot of time with when the car is with me.

was it an exhaust leak? from the sounds of it, he's having the exhaust same problem. he just swapped his evo 9 turbo with a used FP black and he has some crappy Megan manifold.

Yes it was an exhaust leak. Gasket was cracked and venting exhaust.
