No electrical power after motor rebuild.

So I bought a nice 05 evo 8 with 72k miles and a spun main bearing. The car started and ran fine but definitely had torn up bearings causing a knock a ton of shavings. So I decided to pull the motor and have it rebuilt. About 6 months goes by before I get around to getting the rebuild motor back in so needless to say I forgot alot of how it came apart by that point. I have the car all ready to go now but even with a brand new battery I have no power at all in any key position. I feel like I'm forgetting a ground somewhere or something simple but I can't for the life of me seem to figure it out. I have checked a hundred times but maybe I'm missing a ground somewhere? I'm totally lost on this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated I would sure like to finally drive this car

Theres only 1 main ground which is on one of the transmission bell housing bolts under the thermostat housing.

It sounds like you blew a fuse. Maybe you grounded out the alternator, starter or battery positive cables and popped the main power fuse.

Its time to pull out a test light or a volt meter.

Test ALL fuses related or not.

Good fuse =power on both legs
Bad fuse= power on only 1 leg
Non Loaded Fuse= No power on either leg.

Also make sure the starter power cable isnt cocked and touching the starter housing. This will Either melt the wire or pop the main fuse.

This fuse is a good starting point to start testing for battery voltage.
