Weird problem after cop kit install.

Hello all. I’ve had a pretty weird start up problem ever since I installed a brand new COP kit. Coils are authentic denso coils. When I go to start the car at the beginning of the day it doesn’t want to fire on the first try. Usually the second or the third. It doesn’t happen with my oem ignition at all.
Anytime after I’ve gotten it started and driving around it fires up first try and I have no drivability issues either. I just wanted some insight on the issue because I can’t find anything on the forums about it. I know you can get longer springs for the inside of the coils which is what I’m going to do first. I just feel like it’s not getting spark on first start. I’m going to attach a video and you guys can tell me what you think.

I might have found a fix, I think the springs in the boots were too short and just not reaching spark. I ordered some longer springs and it seems to be starting better than it did. Still kind of stutters only when it’s cold which is so odd to me. I will have my tuner take a look next time I go to see if he can pinpoint the problem.

Gap is WAY too big. Gap to .020

Likely nothing to do with your issues, but it's what your gap should be anyways.

I thought stock gap was .028-.030? I’m still on stock boost levels as well. I really only have a couple of bolt ons, catless exhaust, intake, a cop kit and just some upper ic piping. I thought .026 would have been a nice middle ground. .020 just seems kind of tight for what I have?

You should be fine with a 0.022-0.024 gap with your setup and a cop.

Gapped down to .023. Problem still there. I’ve been wondering could this be a clogged fuel injector? Just bad timing? Haha
