LED bulbs glow dimly

Hi,

I have EU spec Evo with standard halogen lights. Lately I thought it would be a good idea to improve my visibility and I purchased pretty decent LED bulbs with ZES High Powered Light technology. As for the high beam (HB3 bulb) the light is stunning and I can see much further than ever before, but for the low beam (H1 bulb) the light is so poor that I can barely see the road ahead. Thats seems very strange since both of those bulbs have exactly this same parameters. The only thing that comes to my mind is that those 'lens' dims those lights, but I'm not sure if its possible. If so, then what can I do?

Here are my lights

And those are the bulbs that I purchased

VOLTAGE: DC9V-30V
LUMEN QUANTITY: 12000LM
POWER: 36 W
LED: The latest technology from ZES High Powered Light Source

How was the light output with original lights? I would install a set of halogen bulbs on one side and compare light output. Just to eliminate wiring or the headlamps. If the halogen light has good output, i would try a different brand of LED bulbs. I have had good results with GTR lighting from a place called headlight revolution. They are pricey but i have them in all 4 of my vehicles for over 2 years without issue.

It was also bad, but on those LED's I think it's even worse. I can barely see whats ahead when driving on unlighted road.

Thanks, I will try that. It's a pity that I have to take the bumper off again

Yeah, the bumper is the worst part, especially trying not to get a scratch! If your previous light was dim, I would also check the voltage at the bulb harness. Its possible there is a loose/frayed wire somewhere causing a bottleneck not allowing full amperage flow. Before you buy any additional light bulbs, also give the bulb direct power and ground. If the bulb is good, it should be much brighter than when installed and you'll know you have a wiring issue.
