Hello,

I have a 99 JDM EVO 6. Im having two separate problems, the more i dive down into forum rabbit holes the more confusing it gets. Some people say all three are connected in some way, other people say opposite.

Problem 1- The interior dome light and door chime (keys in ignition) will all come on when i open every door EXCEPT DRIVER DOOR. For some odd reason none of those two things will work when utilizing the driver door.
Problem 2- My central locking system does not work at all. I currently only have the standard original key with the little button in the middle. The battery is replaced, but still nothing happens when i click it.

A weird solution that sometimes fixes the door chime, if i go into the floorboard on driver side and knock around the center console area it will suddenly just start to chime.

Any help or insight will be appreciated.
