Launching your Exedy Twin

Next Week my new Exedy Twin goes in my Evo, I was wondering what the owners of this clutch are launching the cars at....

Whats safe and whats not safe (for the tranny and transfer case)?

hmmmmm

This is a tough and technical question and really needs close attention to be paid of the thermo dynamics of this hella-comlicated clutch opperation, but here goes.

Step 1. Push the clucth all the way down
Step 2. Push the gas down
Step 3. Let go of the clutch.

I know this is a tough series of events to translate into the road, if you want you can call me and and I will walk you through it.

I have launch control set at 5,500rpm, I slip it til the car gets moving (1/2) of the travel, then dump it the rest.

From my understanding the Twin grips a lot firmer and a lot faster. This clutch will take quite a bit of slip abuse, so its good NOT to dump it, or else you run the risk of blasting apart your front diff. (One of the weaker links in the EVO drivetrain.)
