I say get the high flow cat unless you are doing mostly track work. The gains will be small but pollution is real.

fire out the exhaust is really easy to do if you have aftermarket fuel injection. On a well tuned car, that fire is supposed to only happen during shifts or deceleration. Running the program pig rich everywhere on the map is not how it's done. If you want to do it, all you gotta do is pump up the fuel cells for low load & mid-high rpm, and that will give you the fire effect. oh yea, straight thru muffler & no cat please.

It's a hi-flow cat that has been punched through.

It's not a punched cat. Call RRE for this "hi-flow resonator"..

IMO, theres not point in trying to shoot flames unless its a proven way to increase hp or tq... seeing how none of this is practicle on a daily driven car, its deem as a pointless and possibly dangerous thing to try and get your car to do

I shoot flames and there is a way to do it. Catless exhaust system is all you really need and you have to run rich, like its said before and something else.

But Why would you want to endanger your car by shooting flames out of your exhaust on purpose?

You didn't hear about this really fast Viper burning the hell out of his entire rear bumper because he shoot a 5 feet flame out of his exhaust?

He didn't do it purposefully, but that's a lot of damage right there.

Dude, no offense, but,

please buy an Evo first, then add the Mods, then come back and talk about fire shooting out of the exhaust...

I think you would get better responses...honestly...some of the guys here are nice enough to answer your question...others probably want to smack you upside the head...

Who cares, this is a Forum. I like to be knowledgable in every way prior to buying an EVO.

Then ask about how to improve the handling. Ask about how easy/difficult it is to mod the Evo. Ask about what the most effective first mods are. Heck, ask which tuners provide the best products.

BUT WHY oh WHY do you want to know about how to make flames shoot out of the Evo's exhaust? You can do that with ANY car...

Just admit it - you are a closet 2F2F fan...

All Right - I am sorry for giving you such a hard time...Peace.

Seach my previous posts, Im trying to narrow each thing down. I actually HATE 2F2F and am FAR from being a fan. I was just wondering what it takes for the EVO to get a flaming response.

Just put a bunch of purple neons and some stickers then you'll get flames and like 30 whp. Also try shaving your head bald and working out alot. Sorry i don't mean to add fuel to the fire but i just HAD to do it...no pun intended.
