Helix hi-flow cat

I know some of you guys are running this cat. I am looking for a hi-flow that won't throw a CEL over time. Anyone running this cat for thousands of miles w/o a CEL? I heard that other hi-flows have and the Helix so far has not.

Also, is there much low end torque lost with running a hi-flow? I have the HKS DP and catback and it feels good with no noticible loss in low end power

Thanks for any replies.

I Just installed my Helix and have a few hundred miles on it. So far so good. The car feels so much smoother with it on, and it definately doesn't feel like i"ve lost any torque.

I am very happy with my purchase.

I've had mine on for about a week. I too have the hks downpipe. No loss in low end torque. I can drive up my apt driveway (probably 20 degree incline) in 3rd gear a little easier than before. The car is more responsive especially at higher rpms. About the same amount of noise at idle, but louder when accelerating.

I have had my Helix on for well over three thousand miles. I have not had any CELs from it at all. The only thing I got from this cat is increased throttle response and more power for sure.

I thought the HKS downpipe was almost 2.6 in. (65mm). The tanabe downpipe is 2.75 (70mm)

HKS fits like OEM. No clearance issues at all. The Helix DP is a full 3" and is a tight fit. I wanted some clearance, and for the stock turbo and O2 housing, the HKS is a good match even though it's a little less than 3". It will handle the flow of the stock turbo fine. My stock cat is the retrictor right now. I need to open it up.

I just ordered the Helix cat. I will review it and report back once it's on. Can't wait.
