Again, I am not saying generic or knock offs are not good, most of the time, these private label products are made by the factories who supply products to name brands in Japan or all over the world.

Can't wait to see what people think of my upcoming line of products... if I see it through. I'm shooting for pricing a hair lower than both Helix and Megan... Based on the pricing, and the mentality here, it will HAVE to be a real crappy product.

Magic Ninja-

Thanks for posting the pics of the Megan Racing O2 housing. How big is the id of the pipe that feeds the dp? Is it 3" or 2.75"? Sorry if this detail has been answer in earlier pics.

Does this O2 housing use a flat gasket or a special 3" donut style gasket? Did this o2 housing come with either gasket

Could you measure the hole diameter (aprox. ) of the wastegate portion that feeds into the main exhaust portion please. I suggest getting rid of htat sharp edge there where the 2 ports blend together.

Zeus- what ever happened with your ssautochrome contact for both the o2 housing & header?

If I remember correctly it was 2.75in outlet and the hole from the wastegate is about 1.5in. Here is a pick of the goodies that came with it. And before I installed it I took my dermal to it and cleaned up the edges. After this I sent it along with my header to Jet and got it Jet 2000 ceramic coating added. Before they coat the part they sand blast it to clean it then sandblast it again whit a rougher grit to make the coating stick better so there were no sharp edges when it was installed. It looked sweet when it was done but I didn’t have a working digital camera then so I don’t have pics of the finished product.

Not much to tell yet... I have one manufacturer building some prototype parts to see if the minimum quality I require for the dollar is there. I'm shopping a few other manufacturers also. If it works out that I can offer a functional product, for a price I believe is reasonable, I'll go ahead and jump in (I'm not looking to put anyone out of business, as I don't want to do that kind of volume). This will be more in line with those who don't believe in "JMD ($$$) goodness", but functional, yet decently designed and priced parts that do what they are supposed to.

WOT,

He should be back soon... I've already bumped heads with one of the managers there about the quality of the O2 housing, and "missing features" it should posses. I'll post something up to everyone when I get it ironed out.

To everyone else... sorry for the off topic. I really think that both Megan and Helix offer products more inline with what people should be paying for certain types of parts. I like the quality I'm seeing from Helix... not that Megan is bad, but esp. when comparing the down pipes, Helix seems to have a little bit better quality.

PS, what was the topic of this post again

yes, and definitely thanks for the pics of the Megan O2 housing. If fitment is good, it would be the best bang for the buck in O2 housings in my OPINION. I found it offered in a few ebay stores for around $100.

PS from what I'm seeing, it looks like the merge is definitely better than the Helix...
Hey Zeus, from what I can see from the pictures, the Megan Racing O2 Housing looks pretty much exactly to the same as the Helix, without the inner black coating and about $100 less. The wastegate merge looks exactly like it does on my Helix housing. Here's a better picture that I rotated for a comparo:

Helix:

Megan Racing:

More pictures of the Helix can be found here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...0&page=2&pp=15

Fitment was good on the Helix. If fitment is as good on the Megan, than I would say the housing is definitely a good deal for $115 from Ebay.

Syrihl-

Would you happen to know if the outlet id feeding into the dp, is that 3" or 2.75"?

Does the helix unit use a donut style gaslet or flat gasket sealing @ the dp?
