defi egt install help!!

sorry for the dumb question first off.... but i can't figure out how to secure the EGT probe into the "fitting". (the part that screws into the exhaust manifold)
when i unscrewed the fitting a piece fell out of the middle of it which i found... but i found 2 pieces and i don't know the order they go in. or which way they go in... or if i even need both pieces.
http://www.evomoto.com/tech_info.php...3_9&tech_id=15 in step 2 you can see the Defi probe and half of the fitting but it doesn't show the other half of the fitting or the piece/s.

ANY help is apprecied
Ben

The part that is threaded on both sides goes into the manifold, then the little piece that fell out goes into the fitting and when you screw the third piece on and tighten it, the little piece crushes and holds the probe in place

You have the big threaded part that actually goes in the manifold, then you have the peice that's the compression fitting, it looks like \_/, it points down, then a little "washer" with a lip, the lip faces up, then the top of the fitting that screws on to the bottom. When you install the bottom peice on the manifold, put it together, then slide the probe in from the top making sure you don't push it too far in depending where you tapped, then tighten the top part, and the compression fitting grabs the egt probe and all is well.

Is this the correct order for the fittings and parts? See picture.

1st time I put the probe in, it got blown off when I test drove the car.

In order to secure the probe, I just push it into the bottom piece, and then screw the top part hard. Correct? Can someone confirm??!

Thanks.

besides keeping our economy moving, what use do you have for purchasing an EGT gauge?
