ok with the exception of head studs and rod bolts whats the max hp a stock evo longblock can take. i've heard 500whp is that right. so if thats the case what would be the best sized turbo for it, when would it hit full boost.

 

With a stock block, a turbo upgrade is never a good idea (IMHO). If your going to upgrade the turbo I would at least use arp hardware and some forged connecting rods, or cryo the block at least. The reliability thing is a big deal to me since I don't have the money to constantly fix the motor. But to answer your question I have also heard 500 hp. Once again, if you upgrade the turbo, upgrade the internals too...your gonna spend lots of $$$ anyway so why not? Just my opinion though.

 

i say 550whp if you don't use it too often in that form...440whp daily

so whats the best turbo for that whp range, somthing that spools around what the stock turbo spools would be nice.
