need help on settings of hks evc.

i installed the hks evc V (psi version) and double checked all my lines, the problem i am having is that no matter what setting i have it in it will drop about 2-3 psi after 5000 rpm.( mostly in 3 gear) 4 and 5 seem to stay ok dropping about 1 to 1.5 psi
tried it at 20 droped, it hit 20 and then went to 18.5.
tried 18.5 droped to 16.5.

i tried fooling around with the offset function it helped a little bit keep it steady.

is this how our turbos work or is something wrong?

can sombody that has this evc pm the settings they are using (peak boost and offset).

basically looking to hit 20 and stay there till red line.

I have the EVC 5 and my boost stays stable. Try calling HKS and telling them your exact setup.

I have the EVC V and also drops 2 psi. Its due to the stock internal wastegate - it cant bleed the boost fast enough. ANd its not the BOV cuz I have the Greddy Type S with the thread sealant. What u can do is set it up to 21-22 psi, so it peaks there and drops down to 19-20 stable. Thats what I did.

I have the EVC V PSI version as well and mine does the same exact thing, even with 4th and 5th being more stable, but I generate slightly higher boost in 5th than any other gear (.2-.3 more psi) and 1st is a little low. I haven't been able to drive while someone stares at the gauge for me, so I'm not sure how bad it's fluctuating. I had an aftermarket BOV, so I put the factory one back in to see if there was a difference, haven't tested it yet, was raining like mad today. Will let you know if I find anything out.
