Has anyone seen a "How to" on the HKS RS intake

I need to know if anyone has seen or done a "How To" on the HKS RS Intake. I've finally decided to install this thing, and I'm finally fitting some time into my weekend to do it. So, any help would be much appreciated......The only instructions I got were in Japanese......

Try using this as a guide.....

I know it's not the HKS but it might help. I run the stock airbox and filter per the Vishnu recommendation.

It's pretty straight foward, just remove the stock airbox and remove the peice from the bottom. Then use the pictures from the HKS RS to install the new one.

Here are some things the instructions don't mention
1. Removing your stock box is fairly easy--depending on what direction the screws on your hose clamps are facing. I had one screw on the turbo inlet that was facing the inside of the engine and a little downwards. I had a hell of a time getting it off, make sure you have a stubby phillips screw driver
2. The bracket for the stock airbox will need to be removed. There is a resting unit for the HKS RS that goes in its place, Make sure when you tigthen your clamps that you factor in where that resting unit is or your unit will rattle on the hose clamps.
3. I now have compressor surge which I believe is related to the intake. I'm taking mine off this weekend to try and determine a solution. If I still have surge with the stock box then I know its my BOV. (HKS SSQV running VTA with the HKS upper IC pipe)

I might need to re-adjust the hose clamps to get rid of the compressor surge but I had it from day one thinking it was BOV flutter.

I'm also thinking about getting some type of sealant, non permanent of course, at each fitment. I'm also thinking about using some of the HKS pieces to build a custom intake, possibly retaining the HKS RS housing closest to the turbo but modifying the rest.

**side note**

When running the SSQV with the HKS RS pipe, the HKS recirc kit does not come with with a long enough hose to reach the inlet on the induction. I took the hose to Auto Zone and got one that was long enough to reach. I think that 3 feet of hose for recirc is a bad idea. I put it back to VTA. People are correct though, recirc on the SSQV is still pretty damn loud so if its the sound you want and your using a Universal kit, I'd recirc it.

Its not that simple. Mine did not fit perfectly as I had UR IC Pipes, I had to use a Hack Saw and fabricate some new hose plugs but it fit, I also had to remove the brass Bracket for the stock intake Air box to make it barely fit.

It is so sad that these companies cannot make an intake system that fits properly and does not cause problems.

I was disappointed too, HKS usually makes some of the best. I read about the issues with K&N and AEM on this site and didn't see too many complaints about HKS at the time so I went that route. I think I'd give that APS unit a try if was going to buy one again. I'm going to fab my own system based on some of the HKS parts at this point. I still like HKS, their fit and finish is great. It did seem to make a hell of a difference as well and it sounds good. But compressor surge is not something I can let go unless I want to prematurely destroy my stock turbo.

Were in the world did you come up with compressor surge??? Did you install your intake wrong? I've run the same setup for 8 months with NO problems.

You're basing this off a guy who installed it on a car with modifications different from stock. Would you expect a 235 tire to fit properly on an EVO modified with 10 inch rims? Why not? The Evo comes stock with 235s. WTF are you talking about? My HKS RS fits perfectly. If it doesn't, it's installer error or something is changed.
