ok break in period is 1000-1500 miles and your clutch is gone in 2000... This means that Assuming you did what you were suposed to during break in that you wore a clutch out in less than 1000 miles....
I have 20,000 miles on my stock clutch and its still holding up my commute to work is over an hour in stop and go so I have to shift constantly.
This tells me that either you got a bogus clutch in your car or you don't know how to shift well
Yes taking your car to the track is very hard on a clutch but once a week wouldn't completely kill a clutch in less than 1000 miles unless you were doing something drastically wrong

Heh, I killed mine in 2,000 miles as well, but since I don't drive much, that was a good 3 months of ownership, going to the dragstrip every sunday, and running at least 10 times each. I'd figure that would be about 90-100 launches at the dragstrip, plus playing around on the street. I put in an exedy twindisk and haven't changed anything, and have about 2,500 miles on it with the same abuse and it still grabs strong, even with launch control.

People if you plan to mod or race your EVO replacing the clutch should be one of your first mods, so that it doesn't become an issue later.
