Unhappy engine problems? clutch going? bad gas?

ok this is what happend just finished taken out a car that thought the evo was garbage, pulled over to a gas station to put gas (not my usual place and tank was very low), starting driving a few minutes down the road decided to have some fun and noticed that the car wasent pulling as hard, maybe even like a 40% decrease in power. also noticed that i would get a slight hesitation around 4000 rpm. could it be the gas, thought it might be the clutch going cause i was getting that slight hesitation.

20000 miles
3" turboback w/cat
255 pump
hks evc V @ 20
aeromotive adjustable fpr at stock settings
k&n filter inbox
mr diverter valve
Turbotrix in two weeks

can anybody shed some light on the situation, should i just wait till gas runs out, the problem is i dont want to drive to turbotrix and find out i have a bad clutch.

Your clutch would make it slip, not hesitate. Could be bad gas but also could be your FPR got loose and is letting all the gas immediatly bypass back. Also could be your fuel pump getting pissed. I would say most likely you got bad gas and your car hit bad knock and now you're car is in "limp mode"

yeah if the clutch isn't slipping, or if its something other than your mods, could be detonation with bad gas, you sure you got premium ?

could the car go into limp mode if the stock boost selenoid is disconnected. or does limp mode include more things then only lowering boost?
