Octane boosters good?

Hey guys I bought a NOS octane booster. Curious if its safe.If I use alot, is it still safe? I felt a little more power Says it raises the octane up to 3 points.

They sell it at autobarn. There are a few different one's but I bought the NOS brand. It was $7.99 for one bottle. Says one bottle for 16 gallons of gas.

Torco race fuel concentrate is good stuff.. They have both unleded and ledded, 32oz can turn a tank of 93 into a tank of 104+... When i go racing on my pump gas map i usually add like 12oz or so just as a buffer for knock..

By increasing 3 points they mean for example 93.0 octane to 93.3 octane. It will not increase from 93 octane to 96 octane. You will need something much stronger to do that.

Running high octane say over 93 alot is safe for our engine. Or should it only be used once in awhile?

yep, maybe you just think it was faster because octane boosters work better with lower octanes like 87.

I would not use any octane boosters that contain MMT. MMT is a lead subsitute. When I used octane boosters in the past on my Talon AWD, they would leave a coating on my plugs and O2 sensor.

Take it back! Go to your local paint store and buy a gallon of Toluene ($9bucks). Then PM me for the formulas or do a seach onthe forum for a Toulene calculator. Do not exceed 30% Toluene to 70% pump gas. This stuff is pain thinner and a component of regular pump gas. I run it all the time and the car w/o it is like night and day.

Torco is the only true octane increaser that I know of. All of the stuff at PepBoys, Autozone only increase by 0.1 points or something like that. You would need more than one bottle to increase the octane level.

Just go to a 76 station. So Cal and NV, some of them have 100 octane unleaded race gas right at the pump. I pump 3 gallons of it, then switch the pump to 91 to fill the rest. You don't have to mix or get your hands dirty.
