Just ordered a stage 3 Spec clutch, $600i was wondering iF anyone has any experience with these, ive talked to 3 people with dsms and a gti and they said they love em. Wondering if anyone has one on an evo.

We once used Spec clutches at my old shop I worked at. We took a Spec Stage 2 SR20 clutch to a local clutch builder before installing it and they tested the pressure plate out for us on their clamp machine. Turns out it had 1700 lbs of clamping force, the same as a stock 300zx single turbo pressure plate. Basicly they had taken a totally stock pressure plate, did a nice blue powdercoat job on it, slapped a sticker on it, and bought a kevlar disk from Clutchnet and charged us 300+ dollars for it. We called them about it and they totally got pissed and defense as hell and told us to return everything we bought from them and to never deal with them again, so we didnt.

 

hmmm doesnt sound right......

 

I would not use one after the one in my friends SE-R came apart after only a 1000 miles.
