its not what the turbo can produce thats the problem... more so your fuel keeping up with the increased amount of air...

Maybe you could clarify a bit more...? What mods do you have? what octane gas are you usuing (i'm assuming your not in the US) and what size injectors do you have? (stock is yellow 510cc) Fuel pump... etc?

a 2g DSM 4g63 internals, thats tuned well, can easily handle 21-23 psi (1.5 bar) from a 16g.... but theres lots of things that have to be done before that.

I'm sure someone that has an evo rather than a DSM can help more

14-15psi will be fine for you car but no more than that k? you will need a chip or computor to feed the fuel, also I would suggest getting a 3" so youre not restricting flow then i would look at uping your boost to 18psi sweet as...

I have the Apex'i AVC-R Boost controller.
It is enough of it? Or it is necessary to get in addition ECU or Apex'i S-AFC.

Also what it is better to get? (For 18-20psi)

Definitely look at getting an AFC to make sure you avoid running lean. Would hate to see you have any boost issues.

I would think that the evo should easily be able to handle more than that, especially with 95-98 octane fuel... hell thats stock boost level for a 1g DSM. Whats the stock fuel pump flow on an evoII?

Den, where are you at exactly? lucky people in other countrys actually have ECU upgrades available to avoid usuing a apexi AFC... but an AFC would be a good idea, and its something you can easily tune yourself. (just now are we here in america getting a ECU upgrade thats actually worth paying for)

With an AFC you can up the fuel, a chip would accomplish the same thing and car would be tuned better, since the apexi AFC can only be set/adjusted at every 1000rpms (or 500rpms not sure)... (not as bad as it sounds because it maps a gradual change in fuel between the set rpms)... and its adjustable, unlike a chip, so you'll always be able to adjust the fuel no matter what upgrades you make in the future.

I didnt think about upgrading the exhaust... that and probably other basic mods (like an upgraded air intake/filter) would be a good idea to make sure the engine is "flowing" well.
