If the throttle plate is closed and the valve is closed, the air will head for the compressor (which is already spinning one way) causing the compressor wheel to work harder in order to keep the air going one direction. Thank you for posting that. It's really irritating to see "MR BOV stalling my car!!" when it does not come with a BOV. When I see posts like that I think to myself, "is there something this jackass knows about the MR that I don't?" I still want a BOV for the EVO but I won't pick one up until I get the MAF taken care of. I had a BOV on my GTI and it ran like crap. I could never transition my shifts smoothly with the HKS SSQ unit, then I put my Forge back in and wow. Let's all pledge to use the correct terminology and use the terminology in correct context. The world would be a better place if we could all participate.
