Angry 2005 Evolution ECU and Greddy Turbo Timer problems...

This past weekend I was installing a Greddy Turbo Timer on my 2005 Evolution 8 w/ ACD. I followed all the detailed instructions on how to install and even looked up RRE's latest ECU cable Locator http://www.roadraceengineering.com/e...-ecuwiring.htm . I spliced into cable number 86 as per the figure, which was labeled Vehicle Speed Sensor Signal. The Timer was detecting a vehicle speed even with the vehicle going nowhere . I even attempted to match the vehicle speed with the timer according to the installation manual and that didn’t work either. Everything else on the Timer is working but the Vehicles' speed. Could the wiring on a 2005 w/ACD installed be different than that of 2004 Models and below??? Anyone else having these problems???

Any comments are welcomed...

I do have the Harness...but when you plug into the E-Brake / Vehicle Speed Sensor you need to splice in to the required wires. The harness is only to ease the pain of splicing into the Vehicles starter cables from the ignition.

Forget the vehicle speed sens just use the e-brake. It is easier & no splicing needed just remove the connector to the e-break switch & stick the wiring in the metal connector & then reconnect the connector back in & you're done.

if i "just forget" about the vehicle speed sensor then 3 of the features are completely useless on this timer...digital speed mode, timed distance modes, and auto timer modes...

I was refering to this guys post. Asking if he tapped into AKA spliced into the ECU harness.

Also make sure your looking at the harness the right way. The RRE pic is the harness as if you were standing BEHIND it as it's plugged into the ECU.

I did...I even printed the sheet out and compared it to the way it was hooked up...I noticed that what I printed out had intercooler sprayer but no ACD controls...see where my problem might lay at...
