that sucks its loud, i guess i need to get something thats louder than the fuel pump

Is it just an "unplug" and "plug" install? Or is there hardware that needs to be removed?

If you get the pump kit then all the hardware you need is there. Otherwise, you can take the hardware off the stock pump and put it on the new pump. Make sure the model number is a 342. But yes, it is a plug and play.

I can hear mine every now and then, it doesnt really matter how much gas i've got. It just randomly happens.

I've only heard mine after about 1-2 hours of solid driving. But once the tank is full and car is cooled off it's gone. I can't hear it in the car at all. Only once in a while from outside on the drivers side (of course).

I hear ya about the Walbro, though...when I heard it, I had just finished driving for a couple of hours and the tank was almost empty...it was loud as hell...as soon as I filled up the tank, the pump get quieter, but I could still faintly hear it.

I usually crank the stereo, so I rarely hear the pump anyway...

I'm starting to hear mine wine after a week, but I've noticed a thunk/clunk sound when I start the engine after it's been sitting for a while, does anybody elses do that?

Yup...and from what I heard, you should re-use the OEM rubber grommet when installing the Walbro cuz it seals better than the one that comes with the pump.

It's not the sudden "death" that you need to worry about. That kind will just leave you stranded in Southeast DC really, really early on a Sunday morning. The fuel pump death I would loose sleep over is the slow death where the pump loses the ability to deliver sufficient volume at higher injector duty cycles. Under those conditions you could run lean under WOT, full boost and grenade your motor.
