stock bov/ injen intake
I installed a hks mega flow filter today and noticed that my stock bov is pretty loud. I was going to get an aftermarket one but decided to keep ithe stock one for now. a few questions for everyone
1. I want to get a really good exhaust but not too loud(i.e. hks titanuim/carbon is nice, but way too loud), price really not an object bt need suggestions for good exhaust w/ o too much noise.
2. I was thinking about getting the injen intake kit. I know an aftermarket BOV will void warranty, but has anyone had any warranty problems w/ just the injen intake kit & exhaust? i really want the kit but it would be a pain in the butt to have to take off my front bumper everytime i go in for service.
Thank you for your input.

to be honest , i don't want it too loud, just one that makes good power. i actually am considering keeping stocker. btw, did anyone have warrantyh probs w/ exhaust ?
it usually comes down to the dealer on warranty issues. some are cool and others are not. you might be able to get away with a cat-back system and a panel filter without voiding anything. but if you plan on doing any modding other than that it would be safe to say you can kiss your warranty goodbye.
I have the Greddy Ti, it has no resonators and is 80mm, so it can be loud when you lay on the throttle. I think it is rated at 101dB without silencer and 94dB with. However it is deep and not raspy at all. Look for an exhaust with resonators, that will help a lot. I think the Vishnu signature is pretty quiet as far as they go.

I haven't had warranty issues but I have the Injen intake kit and have been in for oil changes several times without issues. Oh, and you don't have to remove the front bumper when installing the Injen kit.

i looked at it and the instructions said it is highly reccomended for easier access for intercooler piping part of kit?, i wanted to get the injen piping kit and put on my hks intake.
did your dealer inquire about the kit or do you think they will just drop the bomb when something breaks.

You can take your bumper off if you want. When I got underneath my car and took out the under plate, there was more then enough room to loose the clamp and take off the intercooler pipping. I don't think spending another 30 minutes to an hour taking the front bumper is nessesary.
When I took my car to the dealership they didn't question me. A while back they told me if I have a mbc or engine management then it would void the warranty so I just always hide the mbc and SAFCII when I got in. They haven't asked about the Injen kit yet.

I agree, I have the Injen intake and didnt remove the bumper to install it. I wouldnt see any probs as far as warranty with just an intake and exhaust but you never know. They would really have to be a$$holes to say anything about just those mods...just my.02 cents.
