Greddy Profec boost controller

Is it true that it has a high and low boost setting so that you can just push a button when you want to race or just cruise? Would you recommend a ebc or a mbc for a upgrade turbo?

Yes the EBC from Greddy ( spec II ) will allow you to set 2 different boost levels, and you can use one for racing, and once for day to day driving.. or for drastic temperature changes...

most people on this forum seem to like MBC, so you will hear that a lot... but its really about understanding the products... the EBC is better, but requires more tuning than a MBC.

and the GReddy can boost up to 45 psi, so it should be plenty for any size turbo on that car.

hope this helps...

no need to set it up for high or low boost settings... because we're at 19 from the factory, going to 21 won't be a big jump... however i would recommend setting highway and interstate preferances... use the low boost for interstate because it tends to spike alot....
i got a spike of 26.2 psi one time @ 140...

if you get a low boost and high boost, does the EBC adjust the a/f ratio to make sure the engine wont run lean?

Or is that something only Full EMS could do?

Only a full EMS... the EBC doesnt take A/F into account at all...

Like I said... people on this forum dont like it... but there are litterally thousands of these units out there on many different vehicles, and only the ones that break make the "news"

plus, if you dont know how, or want to know how to fine tune something.. go MBC... its plug and play...

i'm using the e01 and emanage and when i switch between low and high, i never notice my tune change... i'm sure you can tune it for both applications, but i never run in low boost except when on the interstate... when i get my wideband i can make 2 maps...
