well i installed the full helix exhaust with the test pipe and its awsome i put the mechanical cel fix in and have had no cel or anything i love the sound and what not but when i get to about 3500-4000 rpm and hold it thier it rattles right under the center console and its pretty loud and good rattle at first i didnt have the hangers that came with the ehaust on thier i kept the stock ones well i changed those out and its still slightly doing it not as bad but still thier ...

the only thing i can think of is i have the DP 2 tight or not tight enough anyone know how tight it should be cranked down since it still uses the stock spring bolts....


also the tip of the exhaust gets pretty close to the bumper is this normal? thanks ahead of time


IF I GET EXHAUST WRAP AND WRAP THE DP WILL IT STOP THE RATTLE?

its the DP...mine rattles a little when i back up or if i get into 1st gear wrong...and yes the tip hits the bumper, yout need to do a little trimming or let it heat up and melt itself in place like i did...haha

well i have the CF heat sheild on the bumper so yeah after messing with it a bit more it seems to be a bit better ill gind out more 2marrow i suppose

hm.. my helix dp never rattles, and i have the stock hangars... but i did thermal wrap it so that may be why i don't hear rattle.... did you get the version 1 or 2?

i beleave the version 2 i just got it from gruppe-s like 8 days ago....

I got the Helix downpipe v2 and it seems to make a squeeky noise when i go over bumps. Anybody else have this?

nope just center console rattle...... hrmmmmmmmmmm i dont know o well lol

Welcome to the rattle club. I got the kartboy bushings and they didn't help. They actually made it worse. I am going to try to heat them up to allow it to drop more but I haven't found a fix yet.

its not that bad lol and its the center console mainly almost like i have 3 screws in the console rolling around.

I believe it's the heat shield that's rattling against the floor of the car. I get the same small rattle. If you crawl under your car and rattle the heat shield right above the cat, it is not held down very well at all. It's free to move a lot and rattle around.

so do u have a fix for it or just pointing out the problem?

I haven't attempted to fix it yet. My rattle is minor, so it doesn't really bother me.

do you think if i heat wrap the dp it will solve it also how tight or loose are the spring bolts supposed to be in? thanks for the help!
