I'm totally confused.... What does finger-tightening has to do with boost spikes? Where do you apply a screwdriver to your MBC? Can you please post a picture of your MBC?
Take a look at this sketch and see if your installation matches it. If it's not installed like the sketch, it's wrong and wont give you good results.

Never mind, I found a picture of the MBC, I see where the screwdriver will fit. Still, the tool you use to adjust the boost will have no effect on boost spikes. If you are spiking to high boost levels and the boost wont hold, you've hooked it up backwards.

I just went for a drive and yup goes up to a tiny touch after 1.5 bar and tapers down to 1.2-1.3 and it wiggles around. Im receiving an MR BOV in a couple of days to replace my palstic BOV , hopefully that would help my case.

I looked at my install and i can see that the wastegate actuater hose is installed correctly, but i assume the other is fine.

be sure the hose coming off of the compressor outlet is the stock one, cause of the restrictor / pill that located in it.

zip tie all the connections - make sure there is no leak. Also follow that paper diagram in the pervious thread. And also get yourself a Hallman pro - they're very good.

look we've all tried to help..my original advice was post a pic of how it's installed..ur actual mbc installed on your car..and that will be easy for someone to tell u if it's backwards or not..then from there you can troubleshoot..

Changing the BOV is a waste of time and money. If it was not working right, it would not have worked when it was stock. I'm afraid you are not reading carefully what ppl have written. Otherwise you are just not paying attention or ignoring the good advise you've received.
Here it is again:
If you are spiking badly and then the boost wont hold, you've installed the MBC backwards.
If your car won't hold much boost it means that the spring in the MBC is too weak.
Do not replace the BOV or any other component to try to correct a problem with the MBC or its installation. For now, I'd try putting the car back to stock and see if it runs like it did before. If it does, the problem is all with the MBC or how it was installed, otherwise you've screwed up something else.......

1. Locate the wastegate actuator boost pressure signal hose. (Hose between turbo compressor housing and wastegate actuator)

2. Cut the wastegate signal hose at a point where it will give you best access to the boost controller.

3. Fit the boost controller to both ends of the cut boost signal hose. Make sure the silver hose barb is facing the wastegate actuator and that the coloured barb is facing the turbo compressor housing. Warning: Fitting the boost controller incorrectly will cause serious overboost and possible damage to your engine.

4. Fit secure hose clamps on all hose sections to avoid the hose blowing off. This will cause uncontrolled boost levels that will damage your engine.

Boost adjustment:

1. Loosen the lock nut
2. Turn adjusting screw ¼ of a turn anti-clockwise to begin with
3. Tighten lock nut
4. Check boost level
5. If you wish to increase boost more, with the lock nut tight use small screwdriver to open valve more while holding lock nut
6. Once you reach desired boost level tighten lock nut, you may use a thread locking liquid for added security

thse are the steps the so called professionals did

Dude, you are in the same boat a lot of ppl end up in. The Pros will make mistakes, screw you over and take your money. It's too bad but in many cases it's true. Those instructions might or might not be right for your MBC (I have no idea of the colors of the hose barbs). The rest of the instructions are not clear to me, but I have a problem with attention anyway and it all sounds like gobbledygook to me. Look at the damned sketch I posted, print it if you can. Go to your car, open the hood and do whatever is needed (like removing the airbox or whatever else is in the way) to look in there and make absolutely sure that the hoses are installed exactly as in the sketch. If they are, replace the MBC because it's faulty. If they are not exactly like the sketch, make them so and try again. There is no other way for you to know if the installtion is correct or not. Otherwise, please post pictures or make a sketch of your installation as accurately as you can and post it too. Otherwise we can't see to help you.
