idle wont drop on MR

hey was just looking for the thread on the idle problem on the 05 MR. where the idle wont drop right away.... and will not engine brake....?
thanks anyone have this concern?

This is the first time I'm hearing of this. I do not have that issue.

mitsu, tell me if this is the same as yours ... at times, only about 3-4 times over 5500 miles.
I would accelerate to 5-6k rpms, shift to neutral and the revs stayed up , and dropped very slow, not as usual

thats it, that is what is happening..... anyone else... now has anyone taking it to the dealer, because its not supposed to do that.from what i heard...

Try this, floor it in first gear to redline and shift into neutral and see what happens. The engine will hang on to the revs and then slowly let them fall down.

Interesting, it's nice to know I'm not alone. Hell, I thought it was a feature of the MR. :-) Better get it checked out.

Yeah, I realize this too. Perhaps messed up with launch control. Or better yet, perhaps it's a special feature on the MR so heel toe shifts is not required j/k.
