BUMP= Bump to the top, keeps the thread going.

AS long as your IC hose clamps are properly tightened so there are NO leaks, you will get about 15-20WHP on an otherwise stock car.

i dont have any leaks since when i installed my greddy type s i tightened every single hose around me. Now, for some reason my boost peaks at 20 and goes down to about 18.5- 19psi when reaching 5500-6000pm. Is this a problem? i have a hallman mbc, maybe i have to raise it so it peaks at 21 and tappers at 19 right all the way through redline?

If you can hold 20 psi at redline you will have about 40 more HP than stock. It tapers to 16 psi stock. 1 psi = 7-10 HP.

That pretty normal. Also it can be different in different gears. I hit 1.4bar in 3rd gear at 3500 and it tapers down to 1.35 bar at redline (around 1psi drop).

I know I get more taper in 1st and 2nd but it's really hard to watch the boost gauge / shift / and watch the road.

You could probably turn it up to 21 and drop to 19. I've noticed after playing around with mine a bit.. I've seen to find a "sweet spot" at 20.5 psi. I'm not worried too much about the taper because it's probably good for the motor

im running 90oct and i dont think it will be bad if it peaks at 21 and tappers to 19.5 psi ..or is it?? the car feels freaking fast specially after 5000rpm, and yea sometimes its a little slightly different between boost in every gear, but should i raise the boost so it would peak at 21 and tapper at 19? will it hurt my engine?

i dont know about with your crappy gas. here we have 93. mine is set to about 21.5-22psi tapers to about 20. this is good. when i had my car dynoflashed al said ideally you want it to boost to about 21-22 and then taper down a few psi. having it go to 22 is fine just dont make it stay at 22.

I see no major reason to get a fuel pump unless you push past 300WHP, s cams and such, but for BPU and tuned, no way.
