Here's a diagram for installing it with the AEM c2di and in wasted spark mode. Pay no attention to the ignitor, run the c2di directly to the ecu.

 

hi, i want to use coilpacks on my Toyota 4age engine as i have a new EMS arriving and i would like to get rid of the Dizzy etc..

I have 2 mitsi coils and the 2 leads that go with them. i think they are off a EVO 5? what else do i need as i think there is an ignitir needed aswell that plugs into the side of the 2 coils? is this rite.

This is a blast from the past. The wiring diagram is in post #31 above. I have since switched to a M&W Pro 14 ignition box, as the original AEM C2di's had issues on one of our race cars and I didn't want to wire in a dsm ignitor, 2 ignitors in my case as I am running a true sequential ignition setup with no wasted spark.

 

so does anyone have a final word on a complete solution? list of parts?
