Opinions on performance mods

This is what I have,

TURBO TRIX tuned ECU, Greddy Type-S, Greddy Profec B-II, 3" turboback exhaust, RMR short intake, ACT 2900, Fidanza flywheel, Walbro 255, HKS Cams - 272s, ARP head studs.

Any opinions on what I can do to unlock some more horsepower from the Evo?

Thanks!

Here's about 30whp worth (maybe more)?

Remove the catalytic (if it's still on there). Do a FMIC upgrade. Walbro 255. 660 injectors. Turn up boost to 21-22 psi. Groundwire kit. Use paint thiner in your gasoline (Toluene - make 96 octane). Ceramic coating of 1) exhaust manifold 2) exhaust manifold heat shields 3) turbo hot side 4) downpipe. Or thermal wrap at least.

10.5 hot side although a pain in the *** to install. Thats bout 15 but a major midrange torque kick.Larger injectors and maybe. or enjoy your car now and wait on the 20g upgrade, or goes ***** to the wall with a monster turbo.

I would save your money on injectors and intercoolers until you get a bigger turbo. Wrap your downpipe will be nice but you will not see any power from it. I say get an AFCII and do a race gas tune and leave the paint thinner to the painters. Tune it on C16 and turn your boost up to 24-25 psi. You can also get a crank pulley, 1 step cooler plugs, AEM CDI coilover plug ignition (worth more than an intercooler at the same price), etc.

See my message under my avatar. My sentiments exactly.

I thought crank pulley was a no-no?

I had one on my 350Z, Z28, and now my Evo. I have never had a problem and when Mark tuned the ECU there were no indications of knock or false knock. My AFC-II never goes above 10 on the knock meter (it's a 3 digit meter LOL), which is virtually nothing. I have no problem with a crank pulley. In fact on my 350Z, I noticed more difference from it than the flywheel I put on!

I've been reading all over the forums about the 10.5 hotside, but no concrete data has been presented. Does anyone have a pic of this part. It's being discussed everywhere, but I'm not totally sure what it does.

I read about the 20g and I think that I will eventually get this upgrade once it's been out for a while.

I wouldn't personally go with a 20G. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but won't you sacrifice a considerable amount of spoolup for an unequal amount of flow? Isn't the cool thing about this the price it can be offered for due to the old design?

The 10.5 hotside is the exhaust housing size. It is 10.5 cm^2 and comes on the 2005's vs. the 9.8cm^2 that is on 03/04 cars. It flows more CFM and sacrifices a little spool time. Gives a small bump in torque. Install is not a simple job.

The solid crank pulleys have been linked to broken cranks on a few DSMs. This is what I've heard from Marco at Magnus Motorsports. They were on high revving motors though.

I could see that. I could also see high revs being the problem!

I love how people jump on here and try to sell you there sh*t...

What boost are you running and do you want to use race gas?
Other obvious upgrades as already stated would be the IC, and all pipes, maybe cam gears, larger injectors, exhaust manifold, test pipe, throttle body, 10.5 hotside or a bigger turbo, alcohol injection

Next time I go to the track I will run race gas and increase boost to 24lbs.
How do cam gears increase performance?
