HAI I AM KINDA NEW TO THE EVO WORLD BUT I WAS WONDERING SOMETHING. IF I HAVE A 95-96 ECLIPSE COULD I FIT A 4-6 EVO ENGINE INTO IT SINCE THEY BOTH ARE TWO LITER ENGINES AND HAVE THE SAME 4G63 ENGINE CODE. IF N ANY ONE HAS ANY INFORMATION I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WELL

One problem that I can see right away.
You wont be able to use your hood cover, because the lancer 4 engine and above rotated the engine 180 degrees already.

The timing belt is on the passenger side instead of the driver side.
So, that is one problem for you.

If you have a 2G, is it a turbo one? Or is is the one with the 2.4 Chrysler Engine?

They do have differnce orientation. The turbo engine (GS-T or GSX) will be closely related to EVO I - III 4G63T with the same way of mounting it.

On the other hand, if you have that 2.4 N/A engine, 4A20 (or similar engine code, can't remember exactly), the engine orientation would be closer to EVO IV+ 4G63T, but that does not mean a direct drop in is possible...

The most cost efficient way is to slap a turbo kit for the 2.4 in this case, I think Hahn and another company make this kit.
