they are effeicent, but only so so. you can get more power out of it. as long as you dont have too big a pressure drop, go as big as you can. we are luck to have a nice big place to put them, and numerous different kits! they will add around 20-40hp depending on the kit. thats a lot of power.

agreed, a 3" is the only way to make real power. o2 housing, downpipe, cat, and full out the back. HUGE DIFFERENCE, even over the 2.5" system. remember, the less backpressure you have in a turbo car, the more power you will make

oh and the stock IC looks kinda small, not like the EVO's that is more prominant in the front. the SRT's is somewhat hidden, so its not as noticable. so guys like making it more prominant, on top of the power gains. factory is almost never the best, unfortunatly

Well I wont get into "from a roll"....

but at the drag strip, I actually think it would be pretty close depending on driver. Only reason I say that is that the SRt-4 will always be traction limited to a point. I dont know if your mods will overtake that first 1/8th mile or so....Evo responds very well to a full 3 inch exhaust...more so than other cars that I know. If you are dyno'ing at 250 whp, that Evo will be close to that as well.

So I think it would go either way....toss up

If they do, they're either stupid/rookie/ or got a really really fast car.
Evos are great from a roll if you have a few upgrades. They have a huge gearing advantage over the SRT-4 until ~120mph, which is after the 1/4 mile line anyway.

If by "lean", you mean "rich as freaking crap", you'd be right. What the heck are you talking about, dude?

It is longer, but significantly shorter. The stock Evo IC can outflow the stock SRT-4 IC by a wide margin.

SRT-4 guy, your Evo friend never had a chance against you without a piggyback or reflash. Tell him to do one of the above and the cars will be more equal. Is he registered here? Some cam gears in addition to the ECU tuning would certainly turn the tide in his favor. I hope you were on a track, and good kill.

Nice job man, I knew you had him. See, this is what all car owners should be like. Congrats for winning and thanks for being a normal, rational, human being.

he has:
3'' Turboback exhaust
Cold air intake
stage ? clutch
intercooler piping w/ BoV

I have:
Stage 1 (PCM and 577cc injectors)
AGP wastegate actuator (spike is 17-18 drop to 15 at redline)
3'' downpipe
BIG intercooler (new=24in X 12 X 3.5 vs stock = 24 X 6 X 2)
intercooler piping w/ bov
msd coil pack and 8.5 mm wires
oh and i dynoed at 250hp and 281tq without the intercooler

if we raced on a 40mph roll who do u think will win and please be honest with me cuz i really want to know.
thanks
honestly the only mod he has that is worth a damn is the exhaust so I would think you would cream him from a roll.. so yea I would say you could win.
