I am just wondering what you guys think.. of course if i ask this on srtforums.com they are gunna say me but i want to see what an evo owner says.. this evo wants to race my srt..
he has:
3'' Turboback exhaust
Cold air intake
stage ? clutch
intercooler piping w/ BoV

I have:
Stage 1 (PCM and 577cc injectors)
AGP wastegate actuator (spike is 17-18 drop to 15 at redline)
3'' downpipe
BIG intercooler (new=24in X 12 X 3.5 vs stock = 24 X 6 X 2)
intercooler piping w/ bov
msd coil pack and 8.5 mm wires
oh and i dynoed at 250hp and 281tq without the intercooler

if we raced on a 40mph roll who do u think will win and please be honest with me cuz i really want to know.

unless you mess up, you will win for sure. Race him from a stop as that would be more interesting.

you should beat him easily from a roll. from a stop im not sure. do both and tell us how it works out.

 

what's your dyno with the intercooler? I know you guys get a small intercooler from factory.

With a new clutch on evo with no cat, he could launch 2 cars ahead of you and beat you horribly on stop and go.

However, if you guys did a roll, it'll be close.

250's good number, but evo's love turbo back exhaust.

what's your 1/4 time?

 

plokivos - i dont know though. if that guy has no tune with his mods i cant really see him pushing more than 280ish to the wheels.

 

well i havent gone back to dyno it but i am pretty much setting my car up for a big turbo al i need is fuel return system,750cc injectors, and apex s-afc II and then i will get my t3/t4 turbo kit and definately hit 400+ hp and 400+tq cuz this guy DAN all he does is tune srt and he knows what he is doing.. i think evos are a great car and if i had the money i would love one ..

 

yeh, on a roll, but evo's don't race rolling.

If they do, they're either stupid/rookie/ or got a really really fast car.

Besides, if that evo's not tune, he'll get some lean spots in a/f so mostly likely in a roll, SRT-4 will win, but if they do a roll then do turns in the mountain, I bet evo'll win.

he hasnt got it tuned bc he has never dynoed it.. there are no awd dyno pleaces here... um i have never done a 1/4 mile.. i have only raced one evo b4 on a 30mph roll and i put about 3 cars on him by 90-95 w/out the intercooler..

We assume you are talking about the drag strip right? And not street racing. Are you sure it is a cold air intake or just an aftermarket intake? There is a big difference.

Given equal drivers, I would assume (with your mods) you will win in a drag race. He will jump you at the start but waive bye bye during the last third of the race. Larger displacement and less weight are a great combination. And yes, a track race would be very different.

yeah, from what ive heard srt-4s have a "roll chip" in the ecu.
that and an evo has no top end so with no cams its really no contest from a roll.
id assume with the intercooler you guys are probably no more than 10-15hp difference
