not to promote illegal stupidity but after i broke in the 03, i ran with an rsx type-s (both stock & both of us had 1 person in the cars) & he hung with me on the freeway to 120 until the freeway started turning sharply. all of a sudden he was a dot in the rearview...

 

just like the flashes for our cars, Hondata flashes are a big upgrade even though the car's N/A... basic flash is worth 20hp to them... RSX-S has some decent top end from the get go, let alone with the mods and that important flash... plus, 2800lb car vs. 3300lb car, 1 person vs. 3 ppl total in the car, 6-spd vs. 5-spd, 250hp vs 300hp, do the math, and you can see why the evo lost in that vid...... plus one of my buddies from clubrsx.com also mentioned secretly that rsx was spraying too... hehe...

 

i ran a 300+ whp turbo rsx-s a while ago. I think it may have been the same one jack was talking about.

wow that was pretty impressive. was it your car or the RSX that was makeing all the wheel hope noize in the first video. who ever it was definately needs to be careful... that didn't sound good.

LOL, There is actually a vid of my car racing an RSX-S on Honda Tech and maybe Club RSX. Guy had a CAI and Hondata #4 flash and I could pull on him easily. We went from a 3rd gear roll(well me in 3rd him in 2nd) and I could pull easily. we had gone earlier from 2nd and I could easily put 6-7 cars without a problem.

Dont underestimate the RSX with heavy mods, especially on the freeway.

not all grounding kit are a waste. The apexi super grounding system made 8.5whp on a STI so not all are a wast. http://www.apexi-usa.com/news.asp?ID=62 I put one my my car it is def faster and smoother....It's hard to put you finger on, but there is a difference.

 

That was actually my car spinning in first and second. Bald tires in cold weather = no traction.

The biggest waste of money is bolting random stuff on and not getting tuned. I raced another Evo who had basically the same stuff as me, but he put on a new intercooler and hadn't tuned yet for it. He lost over 1/2 second (several car lengths) in the 1/4mile, compared to what he ran before adding the IC... He dropped from 12.7/8's to 13.5/6's.

Conversely, the best money spent is on a good tuner.
