New Clutch, weird
I just got a RRE No-Name clutch put in my car. I expected a heavier pedal, but the disc does not slip at all. Is this normal? It's nice to have the grip with the new clutch, but getting started in 1st gear may eventually rattle all the teeth out of my skull or shake my car to pieces.
Is it a puck clutch or a street disc? If its a puck clutch thats normal. They grab like nobodys buisiness. My buddy has a three puck clutch in his 240sx. Every time he wants to get rolling from a stop he has to give it a few hard revs while slowly letting go of the clutch, otherwise the car will either stall or it will buck like crazy.

It's the street disc that game with the RRE No Name clutch.
The one on the left-->
I didn't expect it to be this grabby. I even stuck with the heavier stock flywheel to try to stay as close to stock as possible.

Dude I just read a thread today about your very issue.... Search no name clutch, RRE stepped in and said there was some simple mech. adjustment. Sorry to lazy to search and attatch.

Yeah, I saw that today also.
I'm wondering what exactly the adjustment entails. I e-mailed Mike @ Road Race. Hopefully he will be able to offer some specific feedback to help alleviate my issues.

It sounds like your clutch needs adjusting. You're going to need to crawl under the dash and find the rod that goes into your clutch master cylinder. It should be closest to the fender. You can move your clutch pedal to see which rod is moving. That'll be the one you need to adjust.
This page tells you how to adjust the pedal for a DSM. The same concepts can be applied towards the EVO. Good luck.

I haven't gotten the clutch adjusted yet, but it is behaving a lot better after 300 miles. I have to get my oil changed soon and an alignment, so I will probably just have the dealership look at the clutch settings also.

They all need to be tweaked to shift better.
